Family
Voice Norfolk is hosting it’s second full day conference for the parents
and carers of children with special and additional needs.
Speed
dating style information sessions: Service providers to offer free
15 minute consultation sessions (bookable on the day) where you can
discuss specific issues with professionals on a one to one basis.
Workshops:
Throughout the day there will be a series of 30 minute workshops run by
providers from Children’s Services, Health, Education and the Voluntary
Sector. They will share information on a range of topics and listen to
your experiences. |

A meeting has been organised for
parents of disabled children to meet with representatives of Norfolk
County Council to discuss the proposed changes to the services that are
provided for our children.
One of the NCC proposed changes that the Steering Group of Family
Voice are most concerned about is:
B3 End the subsidy for school and college
transport for those aged 16 and over.

Additional Needs Strategy and Commissioning
Manager Michael Bateman will give a presentation about the Big
Conversation, followed by a presentation by Stuart Marpole, Service
Manager Special & Additional Needs (Norfolk). Michael and Stuart will
then take your initial questions.
You will then be invited to put further questions to other senior
Norfolk County Council officers and members, including:
